Ryan Spangler

Ryan holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky and is a Professor of Hispanic Studies at Creighton University. He specializes in 19th- and 20th-century literature. Ryan is also the recipient of the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Award for Teaching Achievement.

His teaching and research have taken him abroad with students to Spain, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Bolivia and Nicaragua. He has also traveled extensively through Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, England, France, Italy and Morocco.

Outside the classroom, Ryan is an avid backpacker and camping enthusiast. He will soon hold Wilderness First Responder certification through the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).

PLANNING, PHOTOGRAPHY & LOGISTICS

Keri Spangler

Keri is the logistical expert behind Pilgrim's Compass and has hiked throughout Europe and South America. She manages the majority of the booking and planning details to cater each trip to the needs of our clients.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreational Management from Brigham Young University, with a specialization in family and business recreation. Additionally, Keri is in the final stages of her ARC certification for travel planning.

Keri also serves as the group’s photographer to capture every moment perfectly and is an essential member of the Pilgrim's Compass.
